Cucumber, Crab and Avocado Sushi Roll Recipe

In this delicious sushi roll filled with fresh crabmeat, crisp cucumber, and creamy avocado, you can taste the flavors of the sea.

Ingredients

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

  • Combine the sushi rice and water in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat and continue to cook for 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  • Combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
  • Microwave on high for 30 seconds, or until the sugar dissolves.
  • To combine, stir everything together.
  • Add the vinegar mixture to the cooked rice in a large mixing bowl.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature after thoroughly mixing.
  • On a sushi mat, place a sheet of nori seaweed.
  • Cover the nori with a layer of the cooled rice, leaving a 1-inch border at the top edge.
  • Arrange the cucumber, crabmeat, and avocado across the rice, 1 inch from the bottom edge.
  • Roll the sushi tightly, tucking in the filling as you go, using the sushi mat.
  • Moisten the top border of the nori with water and roll up tightly.
  • Recycle the nori, rice, and filling ingredients as needed.
  • Cut the sushi rolls into 1-inch pieces with a sharp knife.
  • With soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger, serve.
