Crab, Cucumber, Shrimp Tempura and Avocado Roll Recipe

This delicious and filling sushi roll with crab, cucumber, shrimp tempura, and avocado is ideal for lunch or dinner. A satisfying and flavorful meal is created by combining fresh ingredients and crispy shrimp tempura.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

  • Combine the sushi rice and water in a medium saucepan.
  • Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and allow to cook for 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes after removing from the heat.
  • Combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
  • Microwave for 30 seconds, or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the vinegar mixture to the cooked rice in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Place a sheet of nori on a sushi mat or piece of plastic wrap, shiny side down.
  • 1/4 of the rice mixture should be spread over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  • 1/4 avocado, cucumber, crab meat, and shrimp tempura should be placed in a line across the rice, about 1 inch from the bottom.
  • Roll the sushi tightly away from you, pressing lightly as you go, using the sushi mat or plastic wrap.
  • Rep with the rest of the ingredients.
  • If desired, cut each roll into 8 pieces and serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
